Terms & Conditions

BOOKING CONTRACT  To make a booking with SYCAMORE LODGE the lead guest must be at least 21 years of age.

Bookings are accepted for a minimum of 3 nights.

The contract is for the rental of SYCAMORE LODGE for holiday purposes only. 

A contract shall only arise when the booking is confirmed by email.

Only those listed and named on the Booking Form may occupy SYCAMORE LODGE. The lodge may not be sub-let.

The maximum occupancy is 4 guests. Should you exceed this number you will all be asked to leave, no refund will be given.

We regret that SYCAMORE LODGE will not accept bookings from Hen, Stag or similar parties.

PAYMENT Bookings are confirmed when the non-refundable deposit of 25% (of the total booking cost) has been received. The balance of the total booking cost will be due for payment 60 days before the arrival date; you will be sent email notification that the balance is due.  If the balance of the booking is not paid by the due date, the booking will be treated as cancelled. Any bookings within 60 days of arrival must be paid in full at the time of booking.

On receipt of the full balance payment, advice on key collection and directions to SYCAMORE LODGE will be sent to the Hirer by email, approximately 1 week before the arrival date, or immediately if the booking is made less than 1 week of the arrival date.

Deposit and balance payments must be made by Bank Transfer.  Bank details are given on the Booking Form.

CANCELLATION POLICY Cancellations must be immediately notified to us by the lead guest in writing by email.

You may cancel your booking, however our refund policy is as follows:

  • 100% refund (less non-refundable deposit) if cancelled more than 60 days of arrival date
  • 50% refund (less non-refundable deposit) if cancelled within 30-60 days of arrival date
  • No refund will be issued if cancelled within 30 days of arrival date

 Discretion will be applied.

CANCELLATION BY THE OWNER In the event that SYCAMORE LODGE is not available through events arising outside the control of SYCAMORE LODGE, such as fire, flood, or government restrictions, then SYCAMORE LODGE may be forced to cancel the booking.  The Hirer will be advised as early as possible and SYCAMORE LODGE will rebook you on a suitable mutually agreed new date.  The Hirer will not as a result have any further claims against SYCAMORE LODGE

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE Check in is from 15.00hrs to 20.00hrs on the day of arrival.  Check out is by 10.00hrs on the day of departure.

CARE OF THE PROPERTY For the duration of your booking you will be responsible for the property and will be expected to take all reasonable care of it.  Guests are asked to leave SYCAMORE LODGE clean and tidy. We ask that any breakages or damage, as we understand accidents happen, should be reported to us immediately by email or telephone.  Normally, minor accidental damage or breakages will not be charged for, but in circumstances where extra cleaning is required, or there has been damage or breakage beyond what is reasonably to be expected, SYCAMORE LODGE reserve the right to charge you for any additional costs incurred.   Any missing inventory from the property on your departure will be charged for.

Should you find on arrival any damaged or non-working items, they must be reported immediately by telephone or email, so matters can be rectified.

ELECTRIC VEHICLES Charging electric vehicles from a 13 amp socket at SYCAMORE LODGE is strictly forbidden.  Designated charging points can be found at Auchterarder Town Centre Car Park on the High Street.

SMOKING & CANDLES Smoking (including vaping) and candles are not allowed in any part of SYCAMORE LODGE and we would appreciate that you are respectful of this.

INTERNET ACCESS Internet access is provided for guests’ use. You agree to reasonable and lawful usage of this service.

CHILDREN are welcome at SYCAMORE LODGE. 

PETS  Dogs are welcome and a maximum of 2 well behaved dogs are allowed to stay at SYCAMORE LODGE.  A charge of £20 per booking will apply.  We must ask you to adhere to a few rules for the comfort of other guests:  Please ensure all dog fouling is picked up.  Prior to bringing your dog/s into the property please ensure they are free from ticks and fleas.  Please do not allow your dog/s on the sofas or beds.  Dogs should not be left alone unsupervised at the property. Please note we accept dogs only, we do not accept any other type of pet, animal or reptile.

COMPLAINTS Every effort is made to ensure that you have an enjoyable stay. However, if you have any problem or cause for complaint, it is essential that you contact us immediately to give us the chance to resolve it. We value your custom and want you to return.

LIABILITY SYCAMORE LODGE will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to guests’ personal property and vehicles during their stay.

RIGHT OF ENTRY We shall be allowed reasonable right of entry to the property at all reasonable times for purposes of inspection or to carry out any necessary repairs or maintenance.

ACCURACY OF DETAILS The website is as accurate as possible but cannot be warranted, nor do the descriptions form any contract. Whilst every effort is made to ensure accuracy of property descriptions and images, the facilities and services may alter. We reserve the right to alter or improve any of the subjects without notice.

DISCLAIMER As the Hirer, it is your responsibility to ensure you and all members of your party are familiar with our terms and conditions. By completing a booking with SYCAMORE LODGE you, as the Hirer, and all named guests on the Booking Form are deemed to have accepted our terms and conditions.
